Zagora desert trekking 4 days

Day 1: Departure from Zagora to the Faija plateau

Departure in the morning from Zagora towards Faija, we cross the magnificent desert plateau of Faija until reaching the foothills of Jebel Bani, where we can see the first dunes in the distance. We set up our first bivouac for a dinner under the desert stars.

Day 2: Faija Plateau - Col Oum Laachar Guattara - Oued L'Mahassre

After waking up in the fresh air, we begin our hike in the vast desert landscapes. We meet our camel drivers, load the camels and begin crossing Jebel Bani, the natural boundary between the mountains and the desert plains. The walk across a rocky plateau takes us to the Oum Laachar Guattara pass then to the Diabi oasis, where we have lunch in the shade. We set up camp for the night near a small spring at the foot of Jebel Abbès.

Day 3: Oued L'Mahassre - Chegaga Dunes

After breakfast, we begin our hike to pass through the Elabbas Gorges. Here, a vast sandy plain opens up, leading us towards the Chegaga dunes. At the foot of the dunes, we set up our camp near the well used by the nomads to water their animals.

Day 4: Chegaga Dunes - Mhamid - Zagora

After your breakfast we transfer you by 4x4 to Zagora.
