Mhamid desert trekking 7 days

Day 1: Expedition from Marrakech to Mhamid

We will pick you up from the airport or your accommodation in Marrakech and take you to the Mhamid Desert. Cross the magnificent landscapes of the High Atlas and Ouarzazate. Then we will follow the road from the Draa valley towards the desert via Zagora and Tamgroute. We will arrive at the bivouac in Mhami at the end of the day.

Day 2: Mhamid – Mhamid Oasis – Sidi Naji Traveling Bivouac

Start your Trek in the heart of the Moroccan desert by leaving the M'hamid bivouac at 8 a.m. Your day will begin with a 2.5 hour walk through breathtaking landscapes to the palm grove, where you will take a well-deserved break for lunch. meal. After resting, continue your adventure with an additional 2-hour walk to Sidi Naji, where you will set up your bivouac. An invigorating tea will be served on site, followed by a dinner under the stars before retiring for the night in your Berber tent or under the stars, lulled by the gentle murmurs of the desert.

Day 3: Sidi Naji – Erg Ezahar

In the morning, you will have breakfast before dismantling the bivouac and loading the camels for the rest of your journey. Leave Sidi Naji for a 2.5 hour walk to the picnic area in the shade of the tamarisk trees, where you can recharge your batteries while tasting tasty dishes. After lunch, continue your Trek with a 2-hour walk across the reg to the large dunes of Erg Ezahar, where you will set up camp for the night.

Day 4: Oued Draa – Erg Smar – Kriaat Gemal

After a revitalizing breakfast at sunrise, resume your 2.5 hour walk through the green Drâa valley to Erg Smar, an ancient silted and abandoned village. Enjoy an invigorating picnic before continuing to the small dunes of Kriaat Gemal, where you will set up camp for the night under a sparkling starry sky.

Day 5: Lebohr – Erg Bertham

After breakfast, start your day with a leisurely 2-2.5 hour walk from the small dunes to Lebohr, where you will break for lunch. Then continue your exploration to Bertham Dune, where you will set up camp for the night, surrounded by the majestic golden dunes of the desert.

Day 6: Mzouaria – M’hamid

Enjoy one last magical sunrise in the desert before setting up camp and beginning your walk to Mzouaria. After about 4 hours of walking, you will reach this picturesque village where you will have your midday meal. Then, hit the road to return to the fixed bivouac of M’hamid, where you can relax and refresh yourself with a well-deserved shower. End the day with a delicious dinner and a restful night at the bivouac, where the stars will watch over your dreams after this unforgettable adventure in the Moroccan desert.

Day 7: Transfer from M’hamid to Marrakech

After breakfast we will take you to Marrakech, we will follow the wheel towards Ouarzazate via Agdz. In Ouarzazate you will have the opportunity to take beautiful photos in front of the kasbat of Taourirt and the film studios, then we continue towards the kasbah of Ait ben haddou, after visiting the kasbah we cross the High Atlas mountains towards Marrakech.
